The Ukrainian Prime Minister discussed with the Minister of energy of Germany, the management of Ukrainian gas transportation system and Nord stream-2.
Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman went to Berlin, where on Thursday, November 29, held talks with the Minister of economy and energy in Germany Peter Altmaier. This was announced by the Prime Minister on Twitter.
As Groisman noted, the countries have many topics for negotiation, among which joint management of the Ukrainian gas transportation system (GTS), Nord stream-2, energy efficiency programs.
At the same time, as reported by Reuters. the economy Minister of Germany Peter Altmaier said that his nation’s commitment to the project of gas pipeline Nord stream – 2 will not affect efforts to de-escalate in the Kerch Strait.
Altmayer asked to comment on allegations that the consent of Germany to work on the gas pipeline from Russia to Europe bypassing Ukraine, is undermining efforts to de-escalate tensions in Russian-Ukrainian relations.
“It’s two separate issues,” – said the Minister.
He also called on Russia to release Ukrainian sailors detained after the incident in the Kerch Strait.
