American Institute of Gallup conducted a study of the degree of emotion. Belarus and Afghanistan were the two countries which, according to the survey, experiencing less positive emotions.
The inhabitants of Latin America, for comparison, the positive things in life much more.
The authors of the study asked respondents to describe how they felt the day before the survey, and made two ratings: the rating of positive emotions and a negative rating.
Describing negative emotions, respondents were told, did they feel the day before the survey physical pain, worry, sadness, stress and anger.
The overall level of negative emotions in the world remained at the level of the previous year and amounted to 30%. At the same time, the level of anger reached the maximum for the time of the survey and amounted to 22%. The level of excitement and sadness also set a new record and amounted to 39% and 24%, respectively. At the same time, the level of stress in the world has declined by 2 percentage points to 35%.
Russia in the ranking does not appear.
The leaders of the rating of negative emotions in the population were from such countries as Chad, where the negative experience told, 54%, Niger (50%), Sierra Leone (50%), Iraq (49%) and Iran (48%).
Less often about the negative emotions said the people of Taiwan (14%), Singapore (17%) and Kazakhstan (17%).
At the same time, the number of people talking about the positive emotions still significantly exceeds the number of those who experienced negative emotions. The proportion of people who told us about positive emotion in the survey was 71%, reaching a level of 2015. In 2016 about positive emotions told 70% of respondents in 2018 – 69%.
Regarding positive emotions, respondents were asked to tell about how well they rested on the eve of the poll, respectful whether they were treated that day, how many they were smiling and laughing if they did anything interesting, did I take pleasure in.
In the survey for the 2018 71% of respondents said that they experienced pleasure, 72% said they had a good rest, and 74% said they laughed a lot and smiled.
The highest level of positive emotions was observed in Latin America. Leaders in the good emotions of steel Paraguay, Panama, Guatemala, Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras, Ecuador, Costa Rica and Colombia. Also in the top ten most positive countries were Indonesia. In all of these countries about the positive emotions told more than 80% of respondents.
At the end of the list, according to the survey results on positive emotions was Afghanistan, where they said 43% of respondents. On the second place – Belarus, where 48% of respondents said that they experienced positive emotions.
