Before Kostyukov was temporarily promoted to the post of chief architect of the military intelligence.
Recall that in November it became known about the death of the previous chief of the GRU of Russia Igor Korobov.
Korobov worked in military intelligence since 1985. In January 2016, he was appointed chief of the GRU and Deputy chief of the General staff of the Russian Armed forces.
