MIA asks Parliament to toughen penalties for violations at elections

МВД просит Раду ужесточить наказания за нарушения на выборахThe interior Ministry has prepared a bill toughening responsibility for violations at elections in Ukraine.

The Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov declared that counts on the support of people’s deputies of the draft law on strengthening the responsibility for violations at elections, the press service of the Ministry.

According to the head of the interior Ministry, the bill provides for penalties for serious violations more serious than it is defined now.

“We are making a Parliament and we very much hope that MPs will adopt this bill. We are talking about strengthening the responsibility for violations at elections to punish serious violations of the more stringent terms. I am sure that the deputies will support this bill, because their leaders everywhere say they want fair elections”, – said Avakov.

As of February 24, the police was 89 criminal proceedings, has received 1871 the treatment. Most often, allegations of bribery, allegations of illegal outdoor advertising and disorderly conduct.
