Poroshenko said that the rights of Ukrainians in the occupied territories “negated.”
In particular, Poroshenko noted that the main tenets of the Declaration of human rights adopted by the UN, laid down in the Constitution of Ukraine. At the same time, he stressed that because of Russia’s aggression the rights of Ukrainians in occupied Donbas and Crimea are virtually reduced to zero.
“That Russia bears full responsibility for violation of human rights in the occupied territories. This is stated in most international documents…Relevant public authorities, active civil society will continue to collect evidence of crimes by the Russian Federation against Ukraine and our citizens, which will further complement the evidence base in the Hague,” – said Poroshenko.
He also once again noted that during the martial law no restrictions of constitutional rights and freedoms will not happen if Russia openly invaded the territory of Ukraine.
