The President has accepted the resignation of the Minister of justice.
The Minister of justice and public order of Cyprus, Ionas Nicolaou, resigned Thursday, may 2, in connection with the serial murders that occurred in the country.
“I filed a letter of resignation only for reasons of political ethics, knowing that you are not responsible for the processing of reports, and the police never informed me about them”, – transfers the edition of the words of the Minister.
It is clarified that the country’s President Nikos Anastasiadis with great regret accepted the resignation of the Minister of justice, noting that he is deprived of the services of one of his “closest associates”.
He also drew attention to the “political ethos”, “always show the master Nicolau”. The President assured that the government is ready to solve a murder and to investigate cases of missing persons.
