The participants of the 24th expedition will go to the station “Akademik Vernadsky” on March 26.
Participants Ukrainian expedition in Antarctica will give a copy of the Tomos, which will be stored at the polar station “Akademik Vernadsky”.
“The chapel of Saint Prince Vladimir was erected in 2011, during the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych. On the orders “from above” to build the chapel was entrusted to the UOC-Moscow Patriarchate. Given the fact that members of Antarctic expeditions who are believers, are spiritually committed to the idea of a single national Ukrainian Church, it was decided to ask the Lord ptsu Epiphany about the transfer of the chapel in the bosom of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine”, – stated in the message.
A vote for the decision to move in ptsu will be held during the rotation of the Ukrainian Antarctic expedition, when at the station “Akademik Vernadsky” will be attended by the members 23 and 24 of the expedition, and a seasonal team of scientists.
